INTERVIEW: Jane Badler on Horrifying And Heartrending Witchy Horror ‘TRIM SEASON’

Paper Street Pictures has released award-winning filmmaker & production designer Ariel Vida‘s (Vide Noir) suspense shocker Trim Season (our full review here), following its recent screening as part of this year’s Overlook Film Festival.

Directed by Vida, from a script co-written written by Vida, David Blair (The Triangle), Sean E. DeMott, Cullen Poythress, and Megan Sutherland, the film stars a huge ensemble cast including Jane Badler (“V”, Ricky Stanicky), Bex Taylor-Klaus (“Scream”), Alex Essoe (Starry Eyes, “Midnight Mass”), Bethlehem Million (Sick, “And Just Like That…”), Ally Ioannides (Synchronic), and Cory Hart (“Fear the Walking Dead”).

Trim Season follows Emma (Million) and her friends from Los Angeles as they journey up the California coast to earn fast money trimming marijuana at a remote Northern California farm. Isolated from society, the group soon discovers their cheerful host Mona (Badler) harbors disturbing secrets beyond their wildest dreams. Emma and her friends must race against time to flee the ominous forest alive..

As Trim Season is available in select theaters and On Demand now, CinemaChords’ Ashley Northey and Howard Gorman sat down with the film’s antagonist, Jane Badler (“V”) who discussed what drew her to this particular role, not only as an actor but also to serve as a producer on the film, and whether she sees it as a potential swan song for her portrayal of villainous characters.
