Charlie Hunnam, Emilia Clarke, Adria Arjona and Luke Evans Lead Prime Video Crime Drama “Criminal” – Watch Trailer

Adria Arjona Criminal

Prime Video has dropped the first trailer and images from Criminal, a new crime drama based on the graphic novels by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Emilia Clarke, Adria Arjona and Luke Evans, the series will arrive in two instalments in January 2027.

The first four episodes, adapting the “Coward” storyline, will premiere on January 13, followed by a further four episodes based on “Lawless” on January 27. The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

The opening instalment centres on childhood friends Leo Patterson (Hunnam) and Ricky Lawless (Gus Halper), whose lives have taken different paths despite their shared upbringing in the criminal underworld. Leo is attempting to leave that world behind, while Ricky is determined to follow the example set by his father, a notorious outlaw. The return of Ricky’s older brother Tracy (Evans), a former soldier, brings unresolved family history back into their lives.

Their circle also includes Greta (Arjona), a car thief with a history involving Leo, and Mallory (Clarke), Ricky’s girlfriend, who is increasingly concerned about the risks he is taking. The story combines criminal schemes, violent confrontations and complicated relationships as the characters become caught up in events that threaten to expose their pasts.

The second instalment shifts its attention towards Tracy Lawless. Having left his criminal background behind to join the Army two decades earlier, Tracy is drawn back into his former life when Ricky becomes involved with dangerous people. His return forces him to confront the family ties and criminal legacy he had attempted to escape.
