Audiences to be reacquainted with the career criminal, con artist, and serial killer, Ripley, this April on Netflix

Exciting news for all thriller and suspense enthusiasts! Netflix has debuted the firt trailer for the platform’s upcoming drama series “Ripley”, giving us a tantalizing glimpse into the dark and twisted world of Tom Ripley. Set in the gritty backdrop of early 1960s New York, the series follows the story of a cunning grifter who is just trying to scrape by in life. Ripley is approached by a wealthy man who tasks him with a seemingly simple job: travel to Italy and convince his wayward son to return home. Little does Tom know that accepting this job will be the first step into a treacherous web of deceit, fraud, and murder.

Bringing Patricia Highsmith’s cunning antihero back to screens, the chilling Ripley series assembles an all-star creative team. With Andrew Scott stepping into the title role, the cat-and-mouse suspense thriller comes courtesy of Oscar-nominated writer-director Steven Zaillian. Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn round out the cast, while Emmy-winner Zaillian executive produces alongside Steven Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Sharon Levy and Philipp Keel of Diogenes, Andrew Scott. The series is produced by Showtime and Endemol Shine North America in association with Entertainment 360 and Filmrights.

Audiences will be reacquainted with the career criminal, con artist, and serial killer when the new limited series will launching globally on Netflix on April 4, 2024.
