Thor: The Dark World gets another featurette video, this time revealing the film’s lavish locations ranging from the Neolithic and Bronze Age architecure of Stonehenge to the vast, idyllic landscapes of Iceland.
Not only does the video provide insight into the outdoor locations but also the sets that were built to recreate the city of Asgard and its surroundings.
As you will see, shooting took place as far afield as Iceland, to represent Svartalfheim, home to the Dark Elves, whilst cast and crew also journeyed to Surrey’s Bourne Woods to recreate Varnaheim, home of the Varnir, in the film.
Thor: The Dark World finds Alan Taylor taking over from Kenneth Branagh to direct from a screenplay penned by Christopher Markus, Christopher Yost and Stephen McFeely. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Christopher Eccleston, amongst many, many others, the film opens across the UK from October 30th.
