Blue Harbor Secures U.S. Distribution for Horrifying and Heartrending Witchy Horror ‘Trim Season’

Poised to be one of the scariest films this summer, Trim Season, the witchy new shocker directed by renowned Production Designer Ariel Vida (Vide Noir) just landed a distribution deal that will have horror fans cackling with delight. If all goes to plan, the film is expected to release in US theaters and VOD this June courtesy of Blue Harbor Entertainment.

Starring a budding genre cast lead by Bethlehem Million (Sick), Jane Badler (“V”), Alexandra Essoe (Starry Eyes), Bex-Taylor Klaus (The Last Witch Hunter) and Ally Ioannides (V/H/S 99), Trim Season centers on Emma who finds herself unemployed and searching for a purpose. She jumps at the chance to join a group of twenty-somethings heading to the California coast for a lucrative marijuana-trimming gig. But the isolated Northern California farm holds far more sinister secrets than Emma and her new friends could have ever imagined. As the remote estate’s dark secrets begin to unravel, Emma soon realizes they’ve stumbled into something far more dangerous than a simple trimming job in the dense woods.

Commenting on the pick-up, Vida said, “”I’m thrilled that Blue Harbor is bringing this team’s work to audiences, whom I hope resonate with our film’s themes of power, agency, friendship, and loss — as well as the stylized lens through which we sought to paint both the horrifying and the heartrending.”

Trim Season was produced by Aaron B. Koontz (Indie Spirit Nominated The Artifice Girl) on behalf of Paper Street Pictures and Sean E. DeMott (American Satan) of Execution Style Entertainment. Paul Holbrook of Hlbrk Ent. also produces alongside Badler for MeJane Productions. Leal Naim (The Endless) executive produced, while Cameron Burns (Scare Package) is a co-producer.

AMP International will be engaging foreign buyers at the upcoming European Film Market.
