Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children – UK Fan Screening Footage and Exclusive Clip


With just under two weeks to go until Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children releases in the UK, CinemaChords brings you the filmed highlights of a special UK fan screening held in London which was attended by the film’s cast, alongside Burton himself.


From visionary Director Tim Burton, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children follows Jake as he discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, uncovering a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realises that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Shooting Wraps on Lenny McLean Biopic My Name is Lenny


Salon Pictures has just confirmed having wrapped My Name is Lenny after a four week shoot in London’s East End. The feature film, which added Academy Award nominated and BAFTA winning actor John Hurt (Alien, Midnight Express, The Elephant Man, Nineteen Eighty-Four and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) to the cast, is being represented by the UK’s Embankment Films for worldwide sales, and will be distributed in the UK in 2017 by Lionsgate UK.

Conrad Vernon to Direct Re-Imagining of The Toxic Avenger


Bizarre, but mighty intriguing news today comes with the announcement that Conrad Vernon is to direct a re-imagining of the 1984 B-movie The Toxic Avenger. Who’s been crying out for this I wonder? The remake will be Vernon’s first live-action endeavour and, most recently, he co-directed Sausage Party. The Toxic Avenger has plenty of room for cartoonish madness, so his experience in animation will certainly come in handy.
