Serendipitous Razorlight Footage Reveals How Gallant New Single Charted a Course for ‘PLANET NOWHERE’

The return of Razorlight‘s classic lineup has sparked immense enthusiasm among music fans, underscoring the iconic British rock band’s enduring status as a seminal act of their era. Their highly anticipated comeback continues to build momentum as the band teases its fifth studio album “Planet Nowhere,” set for release on October 25th. To further stoke anticipation, the band has shared a behind-the-scenes documentary offering a glimpse into the making of the album’s lead single “Scared Of Nothing.”

The documentary offers viewers intimate access to the creative process that culminated in the song “Scared of Nothing,” which in turn sparked the inspiration for the rest of “Planet Nowhere.” The video captures the band in a state of uncertainty and struggle. Things got off on the right foot with both the talent and drive to conceive a captivating new album, a renowned, prolific producer in Youth (Embrace, Shed Seven, Cast, James, The Verve), and a well-equipped studio in southern Spain with the right atmosphere – but, ultimately they couldn’t make it all come together… until Johnny came up with “Scared of Nothing.” As the opening lyrics of the song suggest, “You’ve got to make the puzzle fit.”

Reflecting on capturing the Razorlight experience in this brief-but-intimate documentary, lead signer and guitarist Johnny Borrell says, “A lot of stuff happens in Razorlight that is never filmed, so many stories get lost, but for once we actually managed to capture a big moment. Here’s the making of this song, shot by Charlie Henri-Belleville and edited by someone way too qualified for this project.”

Given the buzz surrounding Razorlight’s comeback, fans should act quickly to secure the last remaining tickets for the band’s intimate underplay tour in October, now on general sale here. The tour will provide an opportunity to hear the band debut material from their new album, as well as perform a variety of their most notable past releases and audience favourites.
