The Horror Section has debuted a soft-serve nightmare of a trailer for Eli Roth‘s (Cabin Fever, Hostel, Thanksgiving) Ice Cream Man, promising a summer shocker guaranteed to give audiences brain freeze. The film is scheduled to release in theaters across North America on 7 August 2026, securing a wide rollout on more than 2,000 screens via Iconic Events Releasing.

Ice Cream Man marks the first scoop from The Horror Section, the genre-focused banner launched in March 2025. Roth directs and produces the film, having co-written the screenplay with his longtime collaborator Noah Belson.
Set in a small town during a sweltering summer, the film follows a grim string of incidents that unfold after a local ice cream vendor sells toxic treats that have disturbing consequences for the community’s children.
The cast is led by Ari Millen in the title role, starring alongside Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, and Charlie Storey. Roth is also set to make an appearance on screen.
The production features an original score by Emmy Award-winning composer Brandon Roberts (Clown in a Cornfield, Underwater), with Snoop Dogg providing some extra flavour to the soundtrack. The film’s gruesome effects have been handled by Steve Newburn and Academy Award-winner Adrien Morot, while Kate Harrison of Cream Productions produces alongside Roth.
Executive producers include the rapper Nas, working through his Mass Appeal banner as part of a wider partnership with The Horror Section. Peter Bittenbender also serves as an executive producer.
The Horror Section, which specialises in genre-focused film, television, and digital media, is currently churning out a slate that also includes Don’t Go In That House, Bitch! (produced by Snoop Dogg for Death Row Pictures), and Stiletto, directed by Sam Gonzalez Jr and starring Gigi Gustin.
Ice Cream Man will debut exclusively in cinemas on 7 August 2026.
