Brand-New Bangers: Noteworthy Nods 2023 – Batch 23

It’s Thursday again, which can only mean one thing: it’s time for another helping of great new tunes that have been pumping away on our stereo, thanks to all the recommendations we’ve received from readers and streaming platforms alike.

Last week’s ‘Nods’ included new drops from Bloc PartyThe KowloonsShadows of a SilhouetteThe SherlocksAlfie and the Avalon and The Coral (available here in case you missed it). And today’s curated cuts include new tunes from the likes of Stornoway, Neon Waltz, Balancing Act, Vistas, Headshrinkers, The Lilacs, and Pioneers.

As always, we are all about increasing exposure, especially when it comes to up-and-coming bands who value, and deserve, all the extra buzz they get, so you’d be doing them all the world of good by showing your support for the music you enjoy on our lists by spreading some love on social media.

After all, a tweet, an Instagram post, or even just a retweet doesn’t cost a penny and goes a long way to helping musicians out. We’re also always more than grateful for any suggestions/recommendations our readers might have which we’d love for you to share with us over on InstagramFacebook, or Twitter. You can also contact Howard Gorman directly on Twitter here where his DM door is always open for any recommendations.

Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section includes weekly videocast interviews featuring musical talent we hope are either already or, about to become your new favorite artists. You can watch/rewatch all previous episodes via this video playlist featuring the likes of Turin BrakesEmbraceThe SherlocksStanleysThe K’sThe NativeThe Clause, and many more, and we’ll leave you with a taster of our most recent interview (with Shed Seven’s Rick Witter) below.
