The Horror Section has released a new teaser poster for Ice Cream Man, a new horror feature from filmmaker Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel, Thanksgiving). The reimagining of the 1995 cult classic is scheduled to open in theaters across North America on August 7, 2026, with a wide rollout on more than 2,000 screens via Iconic Events Releasing.
Ice Cream Man marks Roth’s first project under The Horror Section, the genre-focused banner launched in March 2025. Roth directs and produces the film, and co-wrote the screenplay with longtime collaborator Noah Belson.
The film is set in a small town during the summer, where a string of incidents unfolds after a local ice cream vendor distributes treats that result in disturbing consequences for children in the community.
The cast is led by Ari Millen, who plays the title role, alongside Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, and Charlie Storey. Roth also appears in the film.
The production features an original score by Emmy Award-winning composer Brandon Roberts (Clown in a Cornfield, Thanksgiving, Underwater), with additional music contributions from Snoop Dogg. Prosthetic makeup effects are handled by Steve Newburn and Academy Award winner Adrien Morot. The film is produced by Kate Harrison of Cream Productions alongside Roth.
Executive producers include Nas, working through his Mass Appeal banner as part of a partnership with The Horror Section. Peter Bittenbender also serves as an executive producer.
The Horror Section, which focuses on genre-focused film, television, and related media, is developing a slate that also includes Don’t Go In That House, Bitch!, produced by Snoop Dogg for Death Row Pictures, and Stiletto, directed by Sam Gonzalez Jr. and produced by and starring Gigi Gustin.
Ice Cream Man will debut exclusively in theaters on August 7, 2026.
