Guy Ritchie’s Action-Packed Spy Caper, Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre Release Date Confirmed

Lionsgate and Miramax today revealed that Lionsgate will release Guy Ritchie‘s (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Wrath of Man) action-comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in the United States this coming 3 March.

Directed by Ritchie from a screenplay he co-wrote with frenquent collaborators Ivan Atkinson & Marn Davies (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) and featuring a star-studded cast including Jason Statham, Hugh Grant, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes and Bugzy Malone, the film follows the exploits of super-spy Orson Fortune (Statham), who is tasked with tracking down and stopping the sale of a deadly new weapons technology by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds (Grant). Reluctantly partnered with some of the world’s finest operatives (Plaza, Elwes, Malone), Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star, Danny Francesco (Hartnett), to help them succeed in their globe-spanning undercover operation to save the world.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is produced by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, and Bill Block and marks Miramax’s third film collaboration with the filmmaker, who previously helmed The Gentlemen and Wrath of Man for the independent film and television studio. Lionsgate will also be distributing Ritchie’s upcoming film Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in the United States. The film was co-financed by Miramax and STX Entertainment.

Further to Lionsgate’s announcement, it has also just been revealed that the film will launch exclusively on Prime Video in the UK, Ireland & France on 7 April 2023.
