Ghoulish Grins Galore in Deeply Disturbing First Trailer for Psychological Shocker ‘SMILE’

Following a 40-second teaser trailer which was mysteriously shown at theatrical screenings of Top Gun: Maverick and Crimes of the Future earlier this month, Paramount has now released the first full trailer for Parker Finn‘s feature directorial debut, the psychological shocker, Smile. All that needs to be said is that it now sits atop our 2022 must-watch horror list as it looks all kinds of creepy.

Written and directed by Parker Finn, based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept, and starring Sosie Bacon (“Mare of Easttown,” “Scream”), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train in “The Boys”), Kyle Gallner (Scream (2022), Master Cleanse), Robin Weigert (“American Horror Story”), Caitlin Stasey (Kindred Spirits, Fear, Inc.) with Kal Penn (“Clarice,” “Designated Survivor”) and Rob Morgan (“Stranger Things,” Don’t Look Up), Smile centers on Dr. Rose Cotter (Bacon) who, after witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, starts to experiencing unexplainable disquieting occurrences. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose is forced to face her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

Smile is slated to release in US theaters this September 30 and is “coming soon” in the UK. In the meantime, we’re sure the trailer below will leave you with a smile on your face. But remember: Once you see it. It’s too late…
