BRAND NEW BANGERS: Noteworthy Nods 2022, Week 17

Another Thursday, another “Noteworthy Nods” compilation: Our weekly selection of hot-off-the-press releases that immediately struck a chord with us as soon as we heard them.

Last week’s heavy-hitters included new sounds from The VallaFlechettesThe LathumsDaydream RunawaysFalse HeadsThe BackfiresThe Clause, and Pit Pony – all of which you can still catch up with over here if you missed that. Today’s featured tracks include a wide variety of superb singles from the likes of Editors, Twin Stranger, Red Shakes, The K’s, Stone Mile, IDestroy, Balancing Act, The Kairos, Sorry, The Strands, Flasher along with the eagerly awaited return from Turin Brakes.

We hope you enjoy this week’s essential playlist as much as we do and, as always, please do drop us a tweet to let us (and more importantly the musicians) know which ones you’ve bookmarked for future repeat play.

Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section includes weekly videocast interviews featuring musical talent we hope are either already or, about to become your new favourite artists. These include some of the bands included in today’s list: The K’s, The Kairos, and, in a roundabout way, Balancing Act when we recently caught up with the band’s bassist David Carpenter from Blackwaters.
