The latest film from writer/director Phil Allocco is set to take audiences on an intense and emotional journey.
5 Lbs of Pressure, out today in theaters, on digital and on demand (& on Prime Video this 24 April via Signature Entertainment), follows Luke Evans as an ex-con seeking forgiveness from the son he abandoned after 16 years in prison for murder. But when their lives become entangled with a young man (Rory Culkin) desperate to break free of his uncle’s (Alex Pettyfer) criminal empire, the inescapable violence of their world comes crashing down in this story of salvation against the odds.
In an exclusive interview to coincide with today’s release of 5lbs of Pressure in theaters, on digital and on demand, Culkin gave CinemaChords’ Ashley Northey insight into this bold and emotionally charged experience that unflinchingly captures the gritty complexities of the human condition in the criminal world.
The film will stream on Prime Video this 24 April via Signature Entertainment.
