Production Underway on New Alan Partridge Mockumentary Series “AND DID THOSE FEET … with Alan Partidge”

The BBC has commenced production on a brand-new mockumentary series featuring beloved comedy character Alan Partridge.

Promising to offer a quintessentially awkward perspective on the current state of the nation, “And Did Those Feet … with Alan Partridge” will follow the hapless radio presenter as he attempts to settle back into life in his native Norfolk after a year working in Saudi Arabia – an adjustmnent that has left him with a profound sense of unease. Over the course of six episodes, viewers will witness Alan as he tries to unpack the reasons why he feels so adrift, while also exploring the broader malaise that seems to have gripped the country as a whole.

Cowritten by Partridge’s creator Steve Coogan alongside longtime collaborators Neil Gibbons and Rob Gibbons, filming began on 13 May under the production of Baby Cow.

Commenting on the latest Patridge project, BBC Director of Comedy, Jon Petrie says, “This look into the state of the nation (and Alan’s own psyche) through a unique lens – that of Alan Partridge – promises to further bolster the already iconic repertoire of the most legendary comedy character in the UK.”

In 2019, Alan Partridge made his return to the BBC with “This Time with Alan Partridge,” a satirical take on magazine programs like “The One Show.” He then launched an Audible podcast in 2020, followed by a touring stage show in 2022.
