Today sees John Swab‘s (Candy Land, Let Me Make You a Martyr) action-packed revenge thriller, Little Dixie receive a day-and-date release and we assure you that this is one you don’t want to miss.
Written and directed by Swab, and starring Frank Grillo (The Purge franchise, Body Brokers, Ida Red) and Eric Dane (American Carnage, “Euphoria”), Beau Knapp (Ida Red, “The Lost Symbol”), Annabeth Gish (“Midnight Mass,” “The Haunting of Hill House”), Peter Greene (Pulp Fiction, The Mask), Thomas Dekker (Laid to Rest, “Swimming with Sharks”), Mercedes Mason (“Fear the Walking Dead,” “The Rookie”), and Maurice Compte (“Narcos,” “Mayans M.C.”), Little Dixie centers on former Special Forces operative Doc Alexander (Grillo), who winds up caught in the middle of a deadly conflict when a pact between a greedy governor and a ruthless drug cartel goes sideways. And when his family gets caught in the crossfire, Doc shows no remorse in bringing down the cartel, stopping at nothing to save the only true source of strength and joy he has left in his life: his young daughter, “Little Dixie”.
To celebrate the film’s release in select cinemas and on digital and on demand today, 3 February, CinemaChords’ Howard Gorman joined both Grillo and Gish to revel in Little Dixie’s big 70s/80s cult crime thriller heart. Gish also shared what details she could about her pivotal role in Mike Flanagan’s soon-to-be-released series “The Fall of the House of Usher”, whilst Grillo expressed his enthusiasm and pride at having been involved in his son Remy’s feature directorial debut, “The Resurrection of Charles Manson”.
