While most people like to reminisce about times of yore every Thursday with the weekly #ThrowbackThursday social media trend, we spend our Thursdays getting ready for the weekend by taking a moment to showcase some of the latest music releases by way of our “Noteworthy Nods” playlist.
Last week’s favorites included brand new singles from the likes of Camens, Pioneers, The Crooks, Hunny Buzz, Liam Gallagher & John Squire and the long-awaited return of The Zutons and the entire playlist is still available over here if you missed it.
Today’s batch of nods features another assortment of bonafide bangers from bands/musicians including Corella, Gallus, The Buoys, Shambolics and Starsailor.
As always, it’s all about spreading the word here at CinemaChords, even more so when it comes to emerging bands who appreciate and need all the support they can get, so you’d be doing them all a huge service by showing your support for all the music you’ve discovered on our playlists by sending them your love on social media.
A tweet, an Instagram post or even a retweet doesn’t cost anything and helps musicians reach so many more potential new fans. We’re also always more than grateful for any suggestions/recommendations our readers might have which we’d love for you to share with us over on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. You can also contact me directly on Twitter here where my DM door is always open for any recommendations.
Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section includes weekly videocast interviews featuring musical talent we hope are either already or, about to become your new favorite artists. You can watch/rewatch all previous episodes via the video playlist below featuring the likes of Red Rum Club, Shed Seven, Turin Brakes, Embrace, The Sherlocks, The Slow Readers Club, Stanleys, The K’s, The Native, The Clause, and many more.
It’s time to sign off but don’t be a stranger! Please do send any recommendations or track submissions to us over on Twitter and Instagram. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy the tracks we’ve picked out for you this week.
