With Thursday upon us once again, we’re back with another round of top new releases that have come to our attention, either directly via streaming platforms or submitted to us by our regular readers. Once again, and as we reiterate each week, the sheer volume of top quality releases on offer is so vast that we can’t begin to overstate how much we appreciate all of your recommendations and/or submissions to our weekly ‘Noteworthy Nods’ playlist.
Highlights from last week included tracks from the likes Michael Gallagher, The Sooks, Jekyll, The Pigeon Detectives, The Chase, The Gaslight Anthem and RoyalSix (which you can still check out over here) and today’s playlist features hot-off-the-press bangers from 32 tens, Galaxy Thief, Rosellas, The Kairos, The Katuns, as well as My Life Story’s highly-anticipated first single in four years, Numb Numb Numb.
And like we always like to remind you, our main aim is to give that always appreciated extra bit of visibility to emerging artists, so we encourage you to support the music you love. It takes no more than a matter of seconds to spread the word on social media, and doesn’t cost a penny, but is more than worth its weight in gold to all the musicians out there. And please don’t stop those recommendations coming via Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. You can also contact Howard Gorman, who curates CinemaChords’ Nods, directly on Twitter &/or Instagram.
Anyways, no more beating aroung the bush, and we´ll leave you to enjoy what you’ve all come here for: Batch 12 of this year’s Noteworthy Nods:
Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section includes weekly videocast interviews featuring musical talent we hope are either already or, about to become your new favorite artists. You can watch/rewatch all previous episodes via the video playlist below featuring the likes of My Life Story, The Kairos, Turin Brakes, Embrace, The Sherlocks, Stanleys, and many more.
As always, don’t be a stranger! Please send any recommendations or track submissions to us over on Twitter and Instagram. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy the tracks we’ve picked out for you this week.
