UK TRAILER: Latest Scott Adkins Pressure-Cooked Actioner ‘TAKE COVER’ Set to Smash Onto Digital and DVD in October

Signature Entertainment has unveiled the UK trailer and artwork for Scott Adkins‘ (The Killer’s Game, John Wick: Chapter 4, Day Shift) latest pulse-pounding action thriller, Take Cover.

Directed by Nick McKinless (The Iron Grip), from a script penned by Joshua Todd James (Pound of Flesh), and starring Adkins, Jack Parr (The Last Breath, “Peaky Blinders”), Alice Eve (Bombshell, Star Trek Into Darkness), Madalina Bellariu Ion (“The Young Pope”) and Billy Clements (Meg 2: The Trench, Dune: Part 2), Take Cover follows Sam Lorde (Adkins), who has made a career out of taking lives. Following a botched assassination attempt, he succumbs to feelings of disillusionment, deciding to leave the hitman business. However, his plans for a peaceful exit are dashed when his final job leads to him becoming a target himself – trapped in an all-glass penthouse with next to no physical cover between him and a deadly competitor hellbent on removing him the equation before he gets a chance to enjoy retirement. Trapped inside the cold, unforgiving glass walls, Sam must rely on his cunning, reflexes and lethal skills, honed over a lifetime, as he fights his way out of this high-stakes game of cat and mouse, where a single mistake could prove to be his last.

Commenting on the upcoming release, McKinless revealed, “When we started this film, I half joked that we were making Die Hard on a budget! The classic Bruce Willis film has similarities to Take Cover, including a high rise building, bad guys galore, a feast of action and humour and an evil British antagonist. That reference would at least inform the cast and crew from the get-go about what type of movie we were
making so we were all on the same page. It’s a fun, ’80s style action movie and a genre that I enjoy to this day, and one I think is sadly missing in today’s movie market.”

Take Cover is slated for a UK digital and DVD release this October 14, 2024.
