TRAILER: ‘How Far Does The Dark Go?’ – Love, Lust, and Bloodlust Collide in Twisted Queer Vampire Thriller

The World Premiere of How Far Does The Dark Go? is almost upon us, debuting at the Queer Screams Film Festival on August 2nd.

Written, directed, and edited by Bears Rebecca Fonte, How Far Does The Dark Go? is a stylish, visually stunning thrill ride that pays homage to mid-century Technicolor classics while also boasting a killer modern soundtrack. It’s a seductive cocktail of romance, terror, and a dash of queer flair that will leave you both haunted and charmed.

At the heart of the film is the fiery chemistry between Chloe Carroll (Evienne) and Anna Hindman (Grace). Carroll’s vampire, Evienne, lures Grace, a morphine-addicted nurse, deep into the hidden tunnels beneath Philadelphia, where the city’s bloodthirsty secrets have been festering for decades. What follows is a twisted dance between predator and prey, love and obsession, as Grace finds herself trapped in a world she never asked for — facing not just the allure of Evienne, but her own dark desires.

With a cast that also includes the legendary Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager) as Evienne’s dying human son, Henry, How Far Does The Dark Go? is a journey into a world where loyalty is fleeting, and monsters don’t always come in the form you expect. Will Grace be seduced into becoming part of Evienne’s eternal night, or will she fight to save herself — and her humanity?

Things get even juicier when Tempest (Sam Rothermel), Evienne’s spurned ex-girlfriend, returns with a vendetta, hell-bent on pulling Evienne back into the depths of bloodlust. Meanwhile, Dayanara (Telita Perry), a vigilante vampire slayer, is on the hunt for the undead duo. But here’s the twist: Does Grace even want to be saved? As the body count rises and blood stains the streets, the line between monster and victim becomes increasingly blurred.

Produced by Carrie Cates, Brittany Snyman, Chloe Carroll, and Bears Rebecca Fonte, with executive producers Cyndi DuFur and Erin Fonte, this film promises a wild ride that dives into the complexities of addiction, desire, and what it really means to be human (or not).

How Far Does The Dark Go? premieres at the Queer Screams Film Festival on August 2nd — so prepare for a sexy, bloody good time.
