Wigan’s Stanleys Return Recharged With Their Most Potent Single Yet, ‘Pass The Time’

Stanleys performing Pass The Time

After a year away, Wigan indie band Stanleys return with their new single, ‘Pass The Time’, out today. The band, known for their melodic indie rock and energetic live shows, take an intensified, more adventurous approach to their music on the track, pointing towards a heavier, more assertive sound.

Harry Ivory’s bass drives the track with a force Stanleys haven’t explored before. Over it,  more jagged guitar riffs and drums hit harder and move faster than usual, giving the song a much more intense, assertive edge to the band than we’re used to.

Guitarist Jake Dorsman said:

“Sometimes you have to take one step backwards to take two steps forward. After a successful summer, we wanted our next release to hit harder.”

If ‘Pass The Time’ points to what’s next, Stanleys are stepping into bolder territory, and this single leaves us genuinely curious to hear where they go from here.
