The bigger they are, the harder they fall…
Prime Video has officially revealed that the hugely-anticipated third season of “Reacher” will premiere on Thursday, February 20, 2025, with the release of a bulging, adrenaline-pumping teaser trailer. The announcement was made on the Thunder Stage in São Paulo, Brazil during the star-studded CCXP event with the news shared by Alan Ritchson, who stars as the titular Jack Reacher, alongside cast member Maria Sten (Frances Neagley) and Reacher creator, author Lee Child.
The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes, rolling out weekly on Prime Video. The first three episodes will debut on February 20, 2025, with the remaining installments following every Thursday through March 27, 2025. Fans around the globe can enjoy the series in over 240 countries and territories, exclusively on the streaming platform.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Reacher‘s success in 2023, when its second season became Prime Video’s most-watched release of the year. Thanks to its widespread popularity, the series was granted an early renewal for a fourth season, which will begin filming in 2025.
Based on Child’s bestselling novel Persuader, season three finds Reacher up against his biggest challenge yet, plunging into a dangerous world of crime as he tries to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose life is at risk. As Reacher uncovers a world filled with violence and deception, he confronts some of his own unresolved issues from the past.
The third season will see Ritchson return as Reacher, with Sten reprising her role as his trusted ally, Neagley. New faces joining the cast include Anthony Michael Hall (“Bosch: Legacy”, “The Dead Zone”), Sonya Cassidy (“The Man Who Fell To Earth”, “The Last Kingdom”), Brian Tee (Jurassic World, The Wolverine), Johnny Berchtold (The Passenger, “Gaslit”), Robert Montesinos (Father Stu, Bliss), Daniel David Stewart (“For All Mankind”, Red Right Hand), and Olivier Richters (Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny, Black Widow).
Reacher is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios, with the show’s Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora (“FUBAR”, “Prison Break”, “Breakout Kings”, Punisher: War Zone) serving as showrunner and executive producer. In addition to Santora and Child, Ritchson will also executive produce, alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives-in-charge of the series for Skydance Television.
