In brief: Paranormal Activity producer Steven Schneider has another found-footage horror feature up his sleeve. Going by the title The Houses October Built, Brian O’Shea‘s The Exchange is all set to take the film to this year’s Cannes Film Market to shop for international buyers.
Described by O’Shea as “the best found-footage horror film since Paranormal Activity,” The Houses October Built is a faux documentary which delves into the whole Halloween Haunted House phenomenon which draws in excess of 30 million visitors every October. What begins as some good old fashioned spooky fun ends up shedding some serious light on the dark world of haunting.
The film marks the directorial debut for both Zack Andrews and Bobby Roe and will be produced by Schneider and New Regency.
With Cannes right around the corner we’ll keep you up to date as soon as any news arises regarding The Houses October Built.
