Height is not an issue for Kevin Hart in trailer for action-packed Heist Thriller ‘LIFT’

Netflix has just unleashed the first trailer for F. Gary Gray‘s (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job, The Fate of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton) action-packed thriller Lift, starring Kevin Hart who has a very lucrative proposition for you. The multi-hyphenate comedy star is in the market for a few recruits. Anyone interested in stealing about 500 million dollars’ worth of gold? No pressure.

Directed by Gray, from a script penned by Daniel Kunka (12 Rounds), the film centers on a band of expert criminals recruited to prevent a terrorist attack by doing what they do best — robbing the rich. It’s a simple Lift, nothing complicated. Other than the fact that the heist will take place on a plane in mid-flight. Call it some unexpected turbulence.

The ensemble cast also includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Miss Sloane, Beauty and the Beast), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Jurassic World), Úrsula Corberó (Snake Eyes, “Money Heist”), Billy Magnussen (Game Night, Into the Woods, No Time to Die), Jacob Batalon (The Spider-Man franchise, “Reginald the Vampire”), Jean Reno (The Da Vinci Code, The Pink Panther), and Sam Worthington (Fractured, Avatar).

Lift lands on Netflix on Jan. 12, 2024 and in the meantime, we’ll leave you with the first official trailer in which the entire team will have to put aside any possible fear of heights if they want to pull the job off.
