‘Hallow Road’ UK Trailer Teases Claustrophobic Thriller Starring Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys

The UK trailer for Hallow Road has just dropped, and with it comes the announcement of its highly anticipated theatrical release on May 16, 2025. Directed by BAFTA-winning Babak Anvari (Under The Shadow, I Came By), the thriller stars Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike (Saltburn, Gone Girl) and Emmy-winner Matthew Rhys (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, “Perry Mason”).

Directed by Anvari, from a script penned by William Gillies, Hallow Road follows two parents who receive a late-night call from their teenage daughter, who has accidentally hit a pedestrian. The parents rush to the scene, trying to reach it before anyone else does. As they drive deeper into the night, unsettling revelations begin to surface, leading them to realize they may not be the only ones traveling down the isolated Hallow Road.

With elements of psychological suspense, road-movie tension, and family drama, Hallow Road takes place primarily within the confines of a car, focusing on the unfolding events and the emotional dynamics within the family.

The film premiered at SXSW earlier this year and has received positive reviews, currently holding a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hallow Road will be released in UK cinemas on May 16, 2025.
