First ‘BARBARIAN’ Trailer Reminds Viewers of the Perils of Rental Accommodation

20th Century Studios and New Regency have today released the trailer and poster for Zach Cregger‘s nail-biting chiller Barbarian, which will receive a theatrical release in the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Directed and written by Cregger and starring Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, Justin Long, Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Kurt Braunohler and Jaymes Butler, Barbarian follows a young woman who books an Airbnb in preparation for her trip to Detroit for a job interview. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double-booked, and a strange man is already staying there. Against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening but soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.

The film is produced by Arnon Milchan, Roy Lee, Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz with Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Danny Chan, Alex Lebovici and Bill Skarsgård serving as exec-producers.
