‘Beast’ Trailer Drops for Russell Crowe-Starring MMA Drama Ahead of April 10 U.S. Release

Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment Group have today debuted the official trailer has been released for the upcoming sports drama Beast, which is set for U.S. theatrical release on April 10, 2026.

Directed by Tyler Atkins (Ocean Boy), the film is written by David Frigerio and Russell Crowe, from a story by Frigerio. Producers include John Schwarz, Frigerio, Michael Schwarz, and Tim O’Hair.

The cast includes Daniel MacPherson, Luke Hemsworth, Bren Foster, Amy Shark, Mojean Aria, Kelly Gale, and Academy Award winner, Crowe.

Beast follows a once-feared MMA champion who returns to the cage after years away when his younger brother is put in danger. Reuniting with the trainer who made him a legend, he faces a final showdown against the reigning title-holder, a fighter determined to dismantle his legacy. As the fight unfolds, the stakes are simple: win or lose everything he has built.

The film was produced in collaboration with the multinational combat sports promotion, One Championship, with principal photography taking place in Bangkok at the Impact Arena. One Championship’s Friday Fights live event on January 24, 2025, provided the setting for a key scene, with additional footage captured throughout the week-long event.

Grindstone Entertainment Group presents the film, a Broken Open Pictures and Deeper Water Films production, in association with Armagh Films, Media Finance Capital, Three 777 Films, Stan Entertainment, Black Pearl Productions, In the Tent Productions, Spectrum Entertainment, and Solution Entertainment Group.
