A24 Drops Promo For ‘The Death of Robin Hood’ As Hugh Jackman Leads Dark Reimagining

Hugh Jackman in The Death of Robin Hood

Not the legend you remember. Not the legend you were told...

A24 has today debuted official promo footage for The Death of Robin Hood, the upcoming feature from writer-director Michael Sarnoski (Pig, Death Stranding).

The film stars Hugh Jackman (Logan, Les Misérables) in the title role, offering a dark adaptation of the 17th-century ballad “Robin Hood’s Death.” The cast also includes Jodie Comer (28 Years Later, The Bikeriders), Bill Skarsgård (It, Nosferatu), Murray Bartlett (“The White Lotus”, “All The Sinners Bleed”), and Noah Jupe (Hamnet, A Carpenter’s Son).

Written and directed by Sarnoski, the story follows Robin Hood as he reckons with his past after a life of crime and violence. Gravely injured following a battle he believed would be his last, he falls into the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at redemption.

A24 acquired U.S. rights to the project in a competitive situation at the Marché du Film. Producers on the film include Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett and Alexander Black.

The Death of Robin Hood is slated for a June 19 theatrical release.
