Signature Entertainment has today announced the release date and debuted the trailer and poster for Sally El Hosaini (The Swimmers, My Brother the Devil) and BAFTA winner James Krishna Floyd‘s cross-cultural romance feature, Unicorns.
Co-directed by El Hosaini and Krishna Floyd, from a script penned by Krishana Floyd, Unicorns stars Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Jason Patel who makes his feature film debut. The film centres on a single father from Essex who works as a mechanic and a British Indian drag queen living a double life. When their paths collide, an emotional search for identity is sparked.
The film also features Nisha Nayar (“Before We Die”), Hannah Onslow (“The Doll Factory”), and Michael Karim (“The Tower”).
Unicorns had its world premiere at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival and will be releasing in UK & Irish cinemas this coming 5 July, 2024.
