Netflix’s “THE B*ST*RD SON & THE DEVIL HIMSELF” Trailer Unleashes Murder, Magic, Love, Sex and Mayhem

In anticipation of the release of the edgy, YA drama, “The B*st*rd Son & The Devil Himself” just in time for spooky season, Netflix has today dropped the official trailer for the series.

Written by Joe Barton (The Ritual, iBoy), based on Sally Green’s “Half Bad” books, and directed by Colm McCarthy (“Black Mirror: Black Museum”, The Girl with all the Gifts), Rachna Suri (“The Woman in the Wall”) and Debs Paterson (“Willow,” “Domina”), “The B*st*rd Son & The Devil Himself” takes place in the modern day where witches live amongst us. Sixteen-year-old Nathan (Jay Lycurgo – The Batman, “Titans”) is the illegitimate son of the world’s most dangerous witch. Fearing he will follow in his father’s footsteps, Nathan is closely monitored throughout his childhood. As the boundaries between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ fray, Nathan – along with mischievous Annalise (Nadia Parkes – “Domina,” “Starstruck”) and charismatic Gabriel (Emilien Vekemans – “Transferts”) – will soon discover who he truly is.

Expect magic, sarcasm, banter, potions in zip-lock bags, hunters, romance, loyalty and unbreakable friendship as this is said to be “a truly f*cked up ride.”

The series’ ensemble cast is rounded out with Isobel Jesper Jones (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), Paul Ready (“Motherland,” “The Terror”), David Gyasi (“Carnival Row,” “Troy: Fall of a City”), Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave, “Conversations with Friends”), Liz White (“Unforgotten,” Brexit: The Uncivil War), Karen Connell (“Vikings”), Fehinti Balogun (“I May Destroy You,” Dune), Misia Butler (“The School of Good and Evil,” “Kiss Me First”) as well as multiple Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize nominee Roísín Murphy making her drama debut.

The series also boasts an entirely new score created by British pop sensation Let’s Eat Grandma.

“The B*st*rd Son & The Devil Himself” launches on Netflix on October 28th.
