Netflix has today dropped a brand-new trailer and official key art for Harry Bradbeer‘s (Enola Homes, “Fleabag”) impending super sleuth sequel, Enola Holmes 2 which finds the youngest sibling in the Holmes family taking on her first official case as a detective-for-hire.
Directed by Bradbeer, from a screenplay written by Jack Thorne and a story by Harry Bradbeer & Jack Thorne, based on Nancy Springer’s “Enola Holmes Mysteries’ Book Series” Book Series, this all new adventure features old and new friends and foes, starring Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things,” The Electric State), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible – Fallout), David Thewlis (“Sandman,” Zack Snyder’s Justice League), Louis Partridge (Paddington 2, “Pistol”), Susan Wokoma (Enola Holmes, The Beautiful Game), Adeel Akhtar (Murder Mystery, Four Lions), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Dune, Rogue One), and Helena Bonham Carter (“The Crown,” Alice Through the Looking Glass).
This time round, fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes (Brown) follows in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock (Cavill), and opens her own agency – only to find that life as a female detective-for-hire isn’t as easy as it seems. Resigned to accepting the cold realities of adulthood, she is about to close shop when a penniless matchstick girl offers Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister. But this case proves to be far more puzzling than expected, as Enola is thrown into a dangerous new world — from London’s sinister factories and colorful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself. As the sparks of a deadly conspiracy ignite, Enola must call upon the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel her mystery. The game, it seems, has found its feet again!
