Trauma and Terror Transude in First Trailer and Poster for ‘MONSTROUS’ Starring Christina Ricci

Screen Media has just unveiled the first official trailer for Chris Sivertson‘s (I Know Who Killed Me, All Cheerleaders Die) supernatural thriller Monstrous, in anticipation of the film’s imminent release.

Directed by Sivertson, from a screenplay written by Carol Chrest (The Prophet’s Game), Monstrous stars Christina Ricci (“Yellowjackets,” Monster), Colleen Camp (Sliver, Die Hard with a Vengeance), Santino Bernard (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, “Bing”), Don Balderamos (Suburbicon, “Castle”), and Nick Vallelonga (Green Book, The Many Saints of Newark).

The film centers on a terrifying new horror that awaits Laura (Ricci) and her seven-year-old son Cody when they flee her abusive ex-husband and try to settle into a new life in an idyllic and remote lakeside farmhouse. Still traumatized, their physical and mental well-being are pushed to the limit as their fragile existence is threatened.

The film first premiered in the FrightFest spotlight of the Glasgow Film Festival on March 12, 2022, and is now slated for a May 13 release in theaters and On Demand and you can enjoy the aforementioned trailer below.
