Los Angeles-based Radiant Films has successfully sealed distribution deals for the highly anticipated monster movie The Yeti. The film, co-written and co-directed by Emmy Award-winning Gene Gallerano (The First Wave, National Geographic’s Photographer) and William Pisciotta (Thunder Road, Beast Beast), has attracted international interest, with agreements in place for territories including the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Turkey, India, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
The film is set to begin production in Buffalo, New York later this month, and will bring to life a chilling new vision of the legendary creature — the Yeti. Radiant Films secured the multi-territory deals during the Las Vegas edition of the American Film Market, marking a significant milestone for the project. CEO Mimi Steinbauer, who brokered the deal for Europe, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Plaion, the distributor behind the global success Terrifier 3. “We know The Yeti will be in great hands with Plaion,” Steinbauer said, referencing their impressive track record with monster and horror titles.
The Yeti brings an all-star cast to the screen, with Emmy winner Brittany Allen (“Dexter: Original Sin”, What Keeps You Alive), Emmy & Tony winner Eric Nelsen (“1883“, “The Affair”), Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Corbin Bernsen (“Psych”, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and William Sadler (Iron Man 3, The Shawshank Redemption) who will all be joining the previously announced Jim Cummings (Thunder Road, Last Stop in Yuma County).
The film’s story takes place in 1947, just after World War II, against a backdrop of post-war uncertainty. Oil tycoon Merriell Sunday Sr. and renowned adventurer Hollis Bannister mysteriously disappear in northern Alaska, prompting their families to mount a search. Ellie Bannister and Merriell Sunday Jr. venture into the treacherous Alaskan wilderness to uncover the truth behind their fathers’ vanishing, but soon discover they are being stalked by a terrifying prehistoric predator.
“We realized there was a huge gap in the horror genre where the Yeti should be,” said co-directors Gallerano and Pisciotta. “Our goal is to create a horror epic makes folks head to the theaters.”
The film’s production team promises to deliver an immersive and gripping experience, with world-class creature design by Ali Gordon and Wayne Anderson, the masterminds behind iconic projects like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Avatar: The Way of Water. The practical effects and creature designs are expected to be one of the standout features of the film, something that is more often than not embraced with open arms by genre fans.

Radiant’s Head of Sales, Karis Aldridge, commented, “With a fun, gory script and outstanding creative production talent attached there’s a lot to love about this film. We’re confident that the wonderful team at Torfoot will deliver a terrifying creature feature for audiences to enjoy in cinemas worldwide”
As production gears up for its Buffalo shoot, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be a tense, gory and action-packed monster film that blends the lore of classic creatures like Kong and Godzilla with fresh, innovative storytelling.
