The K’s Unveil Introspective New Single “Breakdown In My Bedroom” Ahead of Sophomore Album Release

The K’s, the dynamic UK indie sensation celebrated for their authentic, raw sound, have just unveiled the first taste of new music ahead of their highly anticipated sophomore album Pretty On The Internet. The single, titled “Breakdown In My Bedroom,” offers an introspective, candid glimpse into the band’s evolving style. Accompanying the release is an exclusive performance-driven music video, directed by their long-time collaborator Geoff Owens.

Frontman Jamie Boyle opened up about the inspiration behind the track, revealing that “Breakdown In My Bedroom” reflects his personal struggles with mental stability. “It’s about that internal battle,” Boyle explains. “The moments when anxiety takes over, and the idea of staying locked away in my bedroom seems like a safer and more comfortable option than facing social interactions or confronting difficult situations.” The song delves into the emotional turmoil of being trapped in one’s own mind, caught between the comfort of isolation and the need to confront the outside world.

The track’s deeply personal nature marks an honest and poignant introduction to the band’s Pretty On The Internet chapter, hinting at the album’s exploration of vulnerability and self-reflection. For Boyle, the song serves as an exploration of how, at times, it’s easier to avoid the world than to face it head-on.

In addition to the new single, The K’s have also announced an exciting string of live dates over the coming months. The band will head across the pond to the U.S. to perform at The British Music Embassy during SXSW in March alongside the likes of The Molotovs, Rialto and Cairo from London, Middlesborough’s Finn Forster and Nottingham’s ALT BLK ERA. UK fans can catch them at The Great Escape festival in Brighton this May alongside so many other great artists including Basht, Fuzz Lightyear, Talk Show and Trampolene, as well as on their UK and European Pretty On The Internet headline tour later this year.

For those eager to hear more, Pretty On The Internet will be released this summer, available for pre-order on the band’s official store. Fans can get their hands on exclusive bundles, signed products, and merchandise, as well as a special berry vinyl with black splatter, available through regular retailers.
