STUDIOCANAL’s ‘Cold Storage’ Bringing Action-Comedy Chills to UK Homes This Spring

Liam Neeson, Joe Keery & Georgina Campbell in Cold Storage

STUDIOCANAL has announced the release of its high-concept sci-fi chiller Cold Storage, arriving on Home Premiere from April 6, before landing on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD from May 11.

Produced by the team behind Zombieland, the film is directed by Jonny Campbell (“Dracula,” “Am I Being Unreasonable”) and written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Presence, Panic Room, Spider-Man), adapting his eponymous novel. The cast is led by Joe Keery (Spree, “Stranger Things”), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian, Influencers), and Liam Neeson (Darkman, Cold Pursuit), with support from Lesley Manville (Ordinary Love, Phantom Thread) and Vanessa Redgrave (Howards End, The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh).

Blending horror, comedy and sci-fi mayhem, Cold Storage‘s lead characters clock in for an overnight shift where survival is far from guaranteed. Keery and Campbell play two unsuspecting employees who suddenly find themselves in a fight for their lives. Joined by a grizzled bioterror operative (Neeson), the trio are forced to frantically work together to contain a rapidly mutating extraterrestrial fungus that has escaped from a sealed underground facility that could spell global disaster.

Tapping into the spirit of classic B-movies, the film delivers gruesome kills, laugh-out-loud humour and unrelenting tension. From grotesque body horror to offbeat set pieces (including a mutant reindeer), Cold Storage fully embraces its splatter-heavy ‘zom-com’ identity to great effect.

Alongside its standard release, the film will also be available as an HMV Exclusive 4K edition, featuring alternate artwork and a collectable set of four art cards, strictly limited to 1,000 copies.

Cold Storage will be available to buy or rent from April 6, and on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD from May 11.
