‘Mister’: Walton Goggins & Chloë Grace Moretz to Lead Action-Comedy Filming in Madrid

Mister Walton Goggins Chloë Grace Moretz Madrid

Walton Goggins and Chloë Grace Moretz are set to lead Mister, an action-comedy from Thunder Road and Bright White Light, with principal photography scheduled to begin next month in Madrid.

The film represents the feature directorial debut of Wade Eastwood, whose background in second-unit direction and stunt coordination includes work on Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and Jumanji: The Next Level. Josh Brolin had previously been attached to star but is no longer participating due to scheduling conflicts.

The screenplay, penned by Nicki Cortese and Nick Inglis, follows a man who wakes up in an unfamiliar house, injured and surrounded by signs of violence. As fragments of his past begin to resurface, he finds himself targeted by contract killers linked to former personal and professional relationships. Seeking a way out, he joins forces with his estranged daughter, who has become involved in the same profession. Further casting is currently underway.

Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee produce for Thunder Road, with Goggins also serving as a producer. Cortese produces alongside Wayne Marc Godfrey for Bright White Light, which is financing the feature.

Executive producers include Chase Vergari, Ibrahim Mohammed, Eric Handler, Will Flynn, and Sophie Meyer, who is overseeing the project for Bright White Light. Black Bear is managing international sales, while CAA Media Finance is handling domestic rights.

The creative team includes director of photography Henry Braham (Superman) and production designer Nigel Phelps (Thor: Love and Thunder).

Goggins recently received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his role in “The White Lotus” and is expected to begin filming the third season of Amazon’s “Fallout” later this year. Moretz, whose credits include Kick-Ass and The Equalizer, is next set to appear in the romantic comedy Love Language and the Carlota Pereda-directed The Edge of Normal. She recently returned to the stage in the off-Broadway production of Caroline.
