“I’ll be back,” and this time, it’s with a symphony! One of the most iconic films of all time, James Cameron’s groundbreaking sci-fi masterpiece, The Terminator, is set to explode back onto UK screens in 2025, but with a thrilling twist: a live orchestral performance!
Forget your standard cinema experience. This is The Terminator LIVE, a four-date tour that promises to immerse audiences in the heart-pounding action of the 1984 classic, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger’s chilling portrayal of the unstoppable cyborg assassin.
For the uninitiated, The Terminator tells the story of an indestructible killing machine sent from a dystopian future to eliminate Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), the mother of humanity’s future savior. The film, a box-office behemoth and critical darling, delivers relentless suspense and adrenaline-fueled action that still resonates today.
But this time, the experience will be amplified to eleven. The Avex Ensemble will bring Brad Fiedel’s (True Lies, Fright Night, The Serpent and the Rainbow) revolutionary, synthesiser-driven score to life, performing it live in perfect sync with the film, projected on a massive HD screen. Imagine the iconic theme, those haunting synth melodies, and the thunderous percussive beats of the taiko drums, all performed live, enhancing every moment of the film’s intensity.
“We are absolutely thrilled to bring The Terminator Live to the UK for the first time!” exclaims Lucy Noble, Artistic Director at AEG Presents. “This is not just a screening—it’s a full-throttle, pulse-pounding cinematic experience, with the legendary Avex Ensemble performing Brad Fiedel’s iconic score live as the action unfolds.”
Noble emphasizes the unique nature of this event. “From the haunting synth melodies to the explosive, relentless beats of the taiko drums, this is The Terminator like you’ve never heard—or felt—before. Fans of the film, sci-fi lovers, and live music enthusiasts alike, get ready for an unforgettable night.”
The tour kicks off in Glasgow at the SEC Armadillo on October 27th, followed by Manchester’s O2 Apollo on the 28th, Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 29th, and culminates in a grand finale at London’s Eventim Apollo on November 2nd.
