Apple TV+ has debuted the official trailer for the new psychological, heartfelt thriller series “The Last Thing He Told Me,” a limited show adapted from Laura Dave’s #1 New York Times bestselling eponymous novel.
Created and adapted by Dave in collaboration with Oscar-winning co-creator Josh Singer, and boasting an all-star cast headed up by Jennifer Garner (Yes Day, Peppermint – also serving as Executive Producer), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones,” The Silencing), Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Nice Guys), Aisha Tyler, Augusto Aguilera, Geoff Stults and John Harlan Kim, the seven-part drama centers on Hannah (Garner), a woman who, on setting out to discover the truth behind her husband’s mysterious disappearance, starts to build a new future with her sullen sixteen-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Rice); a future and a relationship neither of them could have anticipated.
“The Last Thing He Told Me” marks the first collaboration between the married Dave and Singer, who both serve as executive producers alongside Jennifer Garner and Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter. The series is produced for Apple by Hello Sunshine, who optioned the book from author Laura Dave and serves as the studio on the project with 20th Television. Olivia Newman directs the pilot episode, and the all-female director lineup for the series includes Deniz Gamze Erguven, Daisy Von Scherler Mayer, and Lila Neugebauer.
