Dark Sky Films Confirms August Release of Joyously Inventive Multi-Verse Thriller ‘HOSTILE DIMENSIONS’

Dark Sky Films has announced that UK filmmaker Graham Hughes‘ (Death of a Vlogger) joyously inventive multi-verse thriller, Hostile Dimensions will release in select theaters and nationwide on digital platforms and VOD this coming August 23rd.

The film, written and directed by Hughes, follows two documentary filmmakers as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of a graffiti artist. As the filmmakers delve deeper into their research, they encounter an ominous, freestanding door that leads them on a harrowing, dimensional journey into realms unknown. Determined to uncover the truth, the true nature of the situation becomes increasingly clear – and increasingly sinister.

Hostile Dimensions reunites Hughes with the stars of Death of a Vlogger, Annabel Logan, Joma West, Josie Rogers, Paddy Kondracki, Stephen Beavis, and is produced by Hughes, Stephen Beavis, and Cedric Gall.

Commenting on the genesis of the film, Hughes said, ”The film came from the creeping nihilism I’ve been feeling as the world seems to fall down on our heads … Sci-fi and horror have always been great genres for exploring cultural questions and trying to make sense of things that seem to defy explanation or logic, and this film was my attempt to address part of the feeling of despair I see creeping more and more into society.”

After being presented at Frontières Buyers Showcase in Cannes 2023, the UK feature has screened at Beyond Fest, FrightFest and MOTELX and will now enjoy a day & date this August 23, 2024 via Dark Sky Films.

UPDATE: Blue Finch Film Releasing has since announced that Hostile Dimensions will also be releasing digitally in the UK and Ireland on August 26.
