Brand-New Bangers: Noteworthy Nods 2024 – Batch 25

Another week has passed, bringing with it a huge array of incredible new music releases. Thanks to your on-point recommendations and submissions, our Noteworthy Nods playlist is overflowing with fresh, sizzling tracks this week. You all have top taste and we hope this weekly roundup is about to soundtrack your weekend.

This week’s list features brand new releases from the likes of Michael Gallagher with the instantly infectious ‘Everybody (Wants To Be Somebody)’; a very welcome return to form from Franz Ferdinand with ‘Audacious’, the lead single from their forthcoming album, “The Human Fear,” – their first LP in seven years, which releases on 10 January 2025; and The Notions with yet another rousing anthem, ‘I See Nothing’, from their “debut self-titled “Better As Strangers” EP, which dropped today. Additionally, Razorlight has shared the spiky punk-tinged single ‘Zombie Love’ to further fuel anticipation for the 25 October release of their upcoming album, “Planet Nowhere”, while London six-piece Flat Party has released the title track from their forthcoming EP, ‘It’s All Been Done Before,’ which is set to drop on 15 November via Submarine Cat Records.

Spreading the word and showing support for up-and-coming bands is a crucial part of the music community, and we’re always eager to help facilitate that connection between artists and fans. When you discover a new band that you’ve been enjoying from our playlists and recommendations, taking a moment to share your enthusiasm on social media can make a world of difference for those rising musicians. A simple tweet, Instagram post, or retweet may seem small, but it goes a long way in amplifying their reach and helping them build their fanbase. These small gestures of support don’t cost a penny, yet they provide invaluable validation and exposure for artists who are working tirelessly to get their music heard. And we’re always grateful when our readers pay that kindness forward by sharing their own discoveries with us.

Whether you reach out on InstagramFacebook, or Twitter, our team, including Howard Gorman who keeps his DMs open for recommendations, is eager to hear about the new acts you’re excited about. By joining forces to highlight the talents of musicians you love, we can play a part in helping them gain the recognition and support they deserve as they continue to develop their craft and bring creative new sounds to the forefront of the music industry.

And please don’t forget to show some love for fresh tunes and rising stars by hitting those share buttons. A little social media boost goes a long way for up-and-comers. And we’d love to hear anysuggestions from you over on InstagramFacebook, or Twitter. You can also contact Howard directly on Twitter here where his DM door is always wide open.

Aside from the aforementioned track recommendations, our Noteworthy section includes weekly videocast interviews featuring musical talent we hope are either already or, about to become your new favorite artists. You can watch/rewatch all previous episodes via the video playlist (here) featuring the likes of CastShambolicsThe Howl & The HumShed SevenTurin BrakesEmbraceRed Rum ClubThe K’sThe SherlocksThe Slow Readers ClubStanleysThe NativeThe Clause, and many more.
