Netflix has released the first official trailer for “Vladimir,” an upcoming American comedy-drama limited series starring Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener, The Mummy) and Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”, “Prime Target”). The eight-part series explores themes of morality and human desire and is adapted from Julia May Jonas’ novel of the same name.

The series follows a woman whose life begins to unravel after she becomes infatuated with her charismatic coworker. As her fascination deepens, she takes increasingly bold steps to turn her desires into reality, leading to a series of morally complex, darkly humorous, and unpredictable situations. The story examines how ambition, temptation, and personal choices ripple through relationships and everyday life.

Jonas, a writer and theater director, created the series based on her novel and serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Kate Robin, Weisz, Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg, Kira Carstensen, Jason Winer, and Jon Radler. The book received widespread acclaim, being named a Best Book of the Year by NPR, Washington Post, Time, People, Vulture, The Guardian, Vox, Kirkus Reviews, Newsweek, LitHub, and the New York Public Library.

Episodes, including the pilot, are directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, who also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Television in partnership with Winer’s Small Dog Picture Company.

In addition to Weisz and Woodall, the regular cast includes John Slattery, Ellen Robertson, and Jessica Henwick, with Matt Walsh, Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Tattiawna Jones, and Louise Lambert also appearing.

“Vladimir” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 5, 2026.
