FX’s ‘Cry Wolf’ Casts Alyvia Alyn Lind in a Serpentine Tale of Family and Deception

Alyvia Alyn Lind (“Wayward”, “Chucky”) has been cast as a lead in FX’s forthcoming limited series “Cry Wolf”, joining Olivia Colman, Brie Larson, and Shawn Hatosy.

The series, inspired by the Danish show “Ulven kommer” created by Maja Jul Larsen, is a psychological family thriller. The original Danish series, acclaimed for its tense storytelling and meticulous character work, centers on a seemingly ordinary family thrown into crisis when the teenage daughter alleges abuse, unraveling long-held secrets and testing loyalties.

FX’s adaptation follows social worker Kath (Colman) and mother April (Larson) as they confront a similar storm: April’s teenage daughter, Mia (Lind), alleges abuse, pushing both women to their limits as they navigate an impossible situation. Hatosy portrays April’s husband and Mia’s stepfather, central to the allegations, while child actor Jack Greig joins as April’s son.

Produced by FX Productions, “Cry Wolf” is executive produced by Sarah Treem (“The Affair”, “House of Cards”) – who also serves as showrunner – Olivia Colman through South of the River Pictures, Melissa Bernstein of Special Interests, and Brie Larson.

We’ll leave you with the trailer for the original Danish show to give you a taster of what to expect.
