Zombois: Tuc Watkins, Daria Berenato, Thomas Dekker, and Brenna D’Amico Join Garrett Abdo’s Horror-Comedy

Tuc Watkins (The Electric State, The Mummy), Daria Berenato (former WWE wrestler Sonya Deville), Thomas Dekker (Laid to Rest, Little Dixie), and Brenna D’Amico (Descendants) are teaming up for Zombois, a horror-comedy from writer-director Garrett Abdo.

Set to begin filming this month in Atlanta, the story follows a group of college seniors on a getaway in the North Georgia Mountains. Their break quickly descends into chaos when they stumble upon a hidden secret – and a contagious threat – that turns their vacation into a frantic fight for survival. Adam Huss (“Power”) and Aaron Goldenberg also join the ensemble.

The film will be produced by Glendon Palmer alongside Abdo, Brian Yuran, and Michael Buttiglieri. Osvaldo Silvera is handling cinematography, with Jeremy O’Keefe overseeing casting.

Zombois marks Abdo’s second feature after Exit Interviews, which reunited Watkins, Huss, and Dekker. Beyond filmmaking, Abdo is the managing partner of the Atlanta Comedy Theater, a springboard for several U.S. stand-up comedians.

Reflecting on the tonal shift, Abdo shared, “After a deeply emotional, character-driven experience with Exit Interviews, I wanted something on the other end of the spectrum—wild, outrageous, and unapologetically fun. Gay zombies felt like the perfect fit.”

Watkins added, “Zombois is sexy, scary, and genuinely hilarious. I’m thrilled to be part of it—it’s going to be one unforgettable ride.”
