Benacus Entertainment, in association with RNF Productions, have announced that DW Medoff‘s dark and gruesome horror Your Host is set to have its World Premiere at this year’s FrightFest on the Discovery Two Screen at ODEON Luxe West End on Friday 22 August at 6.15 pm.
Directed by DW Medoff, Your Host boasts a stellar cast led by Academy Award–nominee Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ella-Rae Smith (The Stranger), Jamie Flatters (Black Dog), David Angland, and Joelle Rae.
This twisted new vision of survival horror follows four 23-year-old friends who set off on a birthday retreat to a luxury cabin. But their celebration takes a nightmarish turn when they discover a VHS camcorder silently filming them from the woods. As darkness falls, a mysterious figure in black drugs them while they sleep. By morning, they awaken in an abandoned factory transformed into a sadistic, gameshow-like torture room.
Their captor is no ordinary madman. Clad in an orange-velvet suit and a terrifying mask, the deranged host forces the friends to play twisted games, punishing them brutally when they lose. But in a chilling twist, this isn’t random torment. The masked host harbours a secret connection to one of the friends — and he’s willing to spare three if the guilty party confesses.
When no one comes clean, the games escalate. To survive, the group must endure unique and deadly challenges that only a psychotic gameshow host could dream up. As betrayal, violence, and desperation mount, the friends turn on each other—because in this nightmare, the only way to escape is to win.
Producer Seth Michaels shared his delight in Your Host’s Official Selection at FrightFest:
“It’s a true honour to have our world premiere at FrightFest, a festival that has showcased some of the most iconic and trailblazing films over the decades. We hope the audience connects with Your Host in the same powerful way they’ve embraced past genre-defining works.”
Fans of relentless, race-against-time horror won’t want to miss the premiere of Your Host when it screens this August at FrightFest.
