Love Will Be The Deaths of Her in Trailer for Alice Lowe’s Chrononautic Rom-Com ‘TIMESTALKER’

Vertigo Releasing has today debuted the trailer for Alice Lowe‘s (Prevenge) sophomore directorial feature, the time-hopping rom-com sci-fantasy Timestalker.

Written and directed by Lowe, who also stars in the film alongside Jacob Anderson (“Interview with the Vampire”, “Game of Thrones”), Aneurin Barnard (Dunkirk, The Goldfinch), Tanya Reynolds (“Sex Education”, “The Baby”) and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Black Cab, Whistle), Timestalker chronicles the misadventures of Agnes (Lowe), a hapless heroine who repeatedly falls victim to an unfortunate series of romantic missteps, dies a tragic death, is reincarnated a century later, only to encounter the same fate afresh. Agnes’ only hope of avoiding this vicious cycle lies in achieving spiritual enlightenment; but how can she possible ever manage this when she’s destined to be a fool for love? Some lessons are just too hard to learn in one lifetime…

The ensemble cast is rounded out with Kate Dickie (The Northman, Shepherd) and Dan Renton Skinner (Prevenge, “House of Fools”).

The film received its world premiere at this year’s South by Southwest last March where it generated enthusiastic early buzz with Little White Lies describing it as, “Bold, disarming and innovative” and ScFiNow dubbing it “A hilarious time-leaping love story.”

Lucky for us, we won’t have to wait a century to catch Lowe’s latest endeavour as Timestalker is scheduled to releases in UK and Irish cinemas from 11th October, 2024.
