Congratulations, fans of trailers! Prime Video have just dished out the trailer for Paul Feig‘s (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy) outrageous action-comedy Jackpot! starring Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Renfield) and John Cena (Barbie, “Peacemaker”).
In this near-future action-comedy, directed by Feig and written by Rob Yescombe (Outside the Wire, the Crysis videogame franchise), a new “Grand Lottery” has been established in California with a deadly twist: kill the winner before sundown, and you can legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Desperately trying to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly teams up with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (Cena), who will do whatever it takes to keep her safe until sundown in exchange for a cut of the winning. However, Noel must contend with his slick rival Louis Lewis (Simu Liu – Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Barbie), who is also determined to collect Katie’s winnings at any cost.
Joining Awkwafina, Cena and Liu are co-stars Ayden Mayeri (Cora Bora), Donald Elise Watkins (Emergency), Sam Asghari (“Lioness”), and Murray Hill (“Somebody Somewhere”).
