The Battle For Veldt Comes to a Head in Trailer for Zack Snyder’s ‘REBEL MOON – PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER’

The battle for Veldt has only just begun. Netflix raises the stakes with the release of the official trailer for Zack Snyder‘s Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, the follow-up to last year’s space epic Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.

Snyder takes the helm once again, directing from a script he co-wrote with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten, based on Snyder’s original idea. The sequel continues the saga of Kora (Sofia Boutella) and her band of warriors as they stand with the people of Veldt against the tyrannical Motherworld. On the eve of the final showdown, truths emerge and legends are born as the burgeoning rebellion faces the full might of the Realm.

Boutella leads an ensemble cast featuring Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of ‘Jimmy’. New additions include Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, Elise Duffy, Sky Yang, and Charlotte Maggi

The first Rebel Moon works perfectly as a stand-alone film, but Snyder was more intested in being able to use the two halves of the saga for radically different purposes: “My hopes are that because we were able to do two films, that we’re able to really invest in the characters for the first film so that the audience gets to really understand why they’re fighting for the villagers of Veldt,” he says. Now, that fight comes to a head.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver launches on Netflix on April 19, 2024; a day the Imperium will never forget.
