Following a strong Midnight Madness screening at this year’s Toronto Film Festival, Shudder and Vertigo Releasing have now confirmed the release of Shudder’s latest original film, When Evil Lurks.
Penned and directed by Demián Rugna (Terrified), and starring Ezequiel Rodríguez (Juego De Brujas), Demián Salomón (Satanic Hispanics) & Luis Ziembrowski, When Evil Lurks centers on a small village whose residents find themselves confronted by an unseen evil. They desperately attempt to flee before the evil arrives but it might just be too late.
Based on Terrified, which we first saw when it screened at Sitges a few year’s back, if this is anything like that anxiety-inducing masterpiece then we are in for another real treat.
When Evil Lurks will be coming to UK Cinemas from 6th October, 2023 and we’ll leave you with the official trailer to get you in the mood for a whole host of spooky content that Shudder are sure to bring us in the run up to Halloween.
