Dread Drops Poster and Trailer for All-Latino Horror Anthology ‘SATANIC HISPANICS’

Dread has just dropped the first official trailer and poster for Satanic Hispanics, the first ever all-Latino horror anthology directed by five indie-horror filmmakers, all hailing from a different corner of Latin America: Gigi Saul Guerrero (Bingo Hell), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Demián Rugna (Terrified), Alejandro Brugués (Juan of the Dead), and Eduardo Sánchez (The Blair Witch Project).

The anthology provides a deep dive into Latin folklore fused through a genre lens, spotlighting Hispanic talent both in front and behind the camera. The extensive cast list includes performances from Efren Ramirez, Greg Grunberg, Hemky Madera, Jonah Ray Rodrigues, Patricia Velásquez, Jacob Vargas, Ari Gallegos, Demian Salomon, Christian Rodrigo, and Michael C. Williams.

As per the official synopsis, when police raid a house in El Paso, they find it full of dead Latinos, and only one survivor. He’s known as The Traveler, and when they take him to the station for questioning he tells them those lands are full of magic and talks about the horrors he’s encountered in his long time on this earth, about portals to other worlds, mythical creatures, demons and the undead. Stories about Latin American legends.

The film has also received festival accolades including the Best Director award at Fantastic Fest 2022.

Satanic Hispanics kicks off the start of Hispanic Heritage Month releasing In Theaters September 14.
