Prime Video’s “The Power” Teaser Trailer Instills a Shock to the System

Following last weeks first-look images for the forthcoming emotionally-driver series “The Power”, Prime Video has now unleashed a teaser trailer for the show which is based on British author Naomi Alderman’s award-winning eponymous novel.

From showrunner Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”), and starring Toni Collette (Nightmare Alley, Knives Out), John Leguizamo (Violent Night, John Wick), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana), Toheeb Jimoh (“Ted Lasso”), Josh Charles (Dead Poets Society, “We Own This City”), Eddie Marsan (21 Grams, Filth), Ria Zmitrowicz (“Three Girls”, Misbehaviour), Zrinka Cvitešić (“London Spy”), and Halle Bush, “The Power” is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will. The series features a cast of remarkable characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, as the Power evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

The series has an all-female writers room, which includes Claire Wilson, Sarah Quintrell, Whit Anderson, Stacy Osei-Kuffour, and Rebecca Levene. Quintrell also serves as co-executive producer and story consultant.

“The Power” will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Friday, March 31and the aforementioned teaser trailer below is sure to spark anticipation aplenty.
